This song tells the dark tale of Sauron’s rise in Númenor: how he deceived King Ar-Pharazôn, led the mighty island kingdom into Morgoth-worship, demanded blood sacrifices, and defied the Valar. His lies paved the way for Númenor’s ultimate downfall — the Great Wave that swallowed the golden realm.
