The new GT3 is based on the Mercedes AMG GTS, which is being launched in just a few days' time. Following an intensive test phase, the new Mercedes AMG GTS racing car will be shipped to the first customer teams at the end of 2015.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will blaze new trails in customer sports with its intelligent vehicle concept. The excellent racetrack performance of the standard Mercedes AMG GTS already provides the best possible basis for this. "We are entering a hard-fought and hotly contested competitive environment with the new Mercedes-AMG GT3. The high technological standard and fair race rules are spurring us on to push to take pole position with our new customer racing car. The standard Mercedes AMG GTS already provides the ideal prerequisites for the GT3 racing model, with its low centre of gravity, perfect distribution of weight and wide track width. Powerful acceleration is ensured by the seasoned and now further enhanced AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine taken from the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. User-friendly technology, excellent reliability, long maintenance intervals and the high-revving naturally aspirated engine with low running costs made it the engine of choice for the new Mercedes AMG GTS customer sports model.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT combines a unique design idiom and luxurious interior with impressive performance: AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, 462 hp, from zero to 100 km/h in 4 seconds (Mercedes-AMG GT S: 510 hp, from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds). Not to mention that it gets your heart rate going too.
Showing the way in design: Sportiness and expressiveness are key elements of the appearance of the new Mercedes-AMG GT. Its trend-setting design is created from the exciting combination of characteristic shapes and powerful lines.

A Mercedes AMG GTS coupé is introduced in classic fastback design for the first time ever. The design combines assertiveness and sensual purity. The powerful long hood with its distinctive protrusions - home to the new AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine - is the perfect proof.

The Mercedes AMG GTS cockpit (aka greenhouse), which is situated further back, the strong shoulders, the large wheels and the round rear end create an impressive design that suggests spectacular performance at first glance.
Off to a thrilling start: The Mercedes-AMG GT accelerates from zero to 100 in breathtaking 4 seconds - with a top speed of 304 km/h (Mercedes-AMG GT S: from zero to top speed in 3.8 seconds: 310 km/h).

AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with dry sump lubrication, AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-gear dual clutch transmission, limited slip differential and AMG sports suspension with aluminum double wishbone suspension. These facts make the Mercedes-AMG GT the ultimate sports car.
With its front mounted mid-engine and transaxle AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission, the Mercedes-AMG GT has an optimal weight distribution between the front and rear axles of 47% to 53%. Combined with a low center of gravity, it guarantees exceptionally agile handling and high cornering speeds.
