Описание: My Russian Izhmash Dragunov Tigr with full SVD length 620mm barrel as obtainable from the factory and available here in New Zealand.

Part 2: Rotating bolt system and optics

Clarification on scope model name. The correct name is "POSP 8x42D" rather than "PSO". I purchased the scope under the PSO label and assumed it was correct.

Note: After approximately 600 rounds a piece of glass in the eyepiece came loose. My opinion of cheapish POSP, eastern block commercial scopes is that they may be good for the money but will fail after a period of stout recoil. No doubt authentic military 4x units would be more durable, and perhaps the Russian made "PSO" series. See video of the issue here    • Dragunov breaks POSP scope + some shooting  

The BP-02 weaver mount is made of silumin and low quality. If using this mount, remove and loctite all the screws and re-tighten. My mount squashed against the receiver cover which is an unstable structure and therefore cannot be relied upon to hold zero. The mount is made up of 3 pieces, all screwed and pinned together. Be wary when using it.
