In this video I demonstrate how to use a Lacrosse ball to release the deep hip muscle called the Piriformis. This muscle is a common cause of hip pain and sciatica.
You can use other things than a Lacrosse Ball, but it seems to work really well and is the right size and firmness to get deep into the hip.
Sciatica sometimes is caused by tightness in the piriformis, and even when it isn't, it can be helpful to release it. Go gently with this and make sure it is not irritating things.
