As a lot of people have being asking I thought I'd put out an early version of the newest remaster of the Rocky V Director's Cut. Clearly this is a massive project that I've been focusing on for years but I think it's finally coming along. I should have a whole video explaining processes, set backs and other updates out before the holiday. Until then enjoy and let me know what you think.
I chose a few clips that look the best visually. One of the things I've come to learn with being so familiar with this footage is that it's nearly impossible to get it perfect, and that's ok. My goal is to make it watchable so everyone can finally be able to fully enjoy it because there are some real gems in here. I picked out a few alternate takes and deleted scenes that I like the most.
A few technical points highlighted:
-Basic color correction to bring out shadows and depth
-The still frames in the opening have been cleaned up, in the original footage they have large artifacts
-Cleaned up some artifacts in between shot transitions, most likely due to the reels or tapes they edited on
