Описание: When we made the decision to early retire over 3 years ago, we intentionally set out to live a simpler life. One of the big questions we had was how do we know when enough really is enough?

In this video, we reflect on what living simply in retirement really means, and how letting go of the constant need for more can bring a deeper sense of peace, freedom, and contentment. After a lifetime of working, saving, and striving, retirement offers us a rare opportunity to slow down, reassess our priorities, and decide what truly matters.

This isn’t about missing out or strict minimalism. It’s about recognising when you have enough- enough money, enough stuff, enough obligations- and choosing a life that feels lighter and more intentional.

If you’re retired, approaching retirement, or simply curious about a simpler way of living, We hope this video encourages you to pause, reflect, and find comfort in the idea that “enough” might already be closer than you think.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
