In a conversation with India Today, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, expressed his displeasure after Patna IPS officer Vinay Tiwari was "forcibly quarantined" by civic authorities in Mumbai. The IPS officer is in Mumbai to probe Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Speaking to India Today, Gupteshwar said, "If we see the quarantine guidelines of Maharashtra government it becomes clear that it wasn't essential to keep Vinay Tiwari in quarantine. He didn't go to Mumbai in a secret manner. He requested for a stay at the IPS mess and for a vehicle before he left for Mumbai. Mumbai Police knew about Vinay's arrival in advance."
