This is an interesting drone survey as I was commissioned to look at the roof and comment on whether I thought the roof should be replaced or not. Extensive construction work was being carried out to the property and didn't internally the rooms below the roof had already been stripped out. The owner of the property wanted my opinion on whether or not roof could be saved or whether it would be worth completely replacing it. After looking inside the roof and flying the drone over the outside, I was able to determine what I thought would be the best way forward, as I described in the video, when flying the drone over the roof I could see that there was many issues with the old slates the lead work on the had been replaced relatively recently probably within the last five years but when we look at the remainder of the problems with the chimneys the fact that the roof is not vented properly and the fact that the room below is going to be used as a dwelling becomes quite obvious that replacing the roof would be the right thing to do this would be because the thermal part of the roof and the venting part of the roof could be upgraded without having too much of an impact on the internal rooms. All of this would fall in with the new part of the building regulations specifications for thermal efficiency. The biggest challenge they're gonna get is what to do with the flat roof at the back because the roof itself is too high against the windows, all of this was put in the roofing report sent after doing the drone roof survey.
