One Year Later: Our Indie Game Finally Makes Sense

APRICITY - A Warm Light In The Dark.

One year ago, Apricity didn’t fully make sense.
Over the past year, we stepped back, listened to player feedback, and rebuilt the core systems of our indie game from the ground up.

This video is a reflective indie devlog covering a full year of rebuilding Apricity - a cozy-spooky farming, action adventure roguelite. We talk about simplifying progression, redesigning our upgrade systems, reworking baked goods and elemental mushrooms, improving worldbuilding and immersion, and adding narrative purpose to the player’s journey.

2025 was also a huge year for us outside the game. We launched our Steam page, grew our community, and took Apricity to real-world events like DreamHack Stockholm and To The Moon, where we gathered invaluable playtesting feedback.
