A forest cottage. An unfinished home. And a completely new chapter I didn’t see coming.

For years, I was living in a van. Then life shifted. I broke bones. My body changed. And somewhere along the way, everything I thought my life would look like… changed too.

Now I’m here... 43, in perimenopause, standing in my first home. It’s not finished. My mattress is still in the living room. The kitchen is a mess.

Nothing is really “ready.”

But maybe that’s the point.

I’m learning how to slow down. How to move differently. How to build a life that feels calm… instead of rushed. Intentional… instead of impressive.
I always thought this version of my life would come later—when I was more settled, more prepared. But I’m starting to realize… I don’t have to wait for that.

So this is me figuring it out in real time.

Slower. Softer. And honestly… happier than I’ve been in a long time.
