In the box you will find:

• Outer chamber
• Inner chamber
• Cap
• 4 x sponges
• Pump
• Clamp bracket

Carbon

If you are planning on running carbon in your media reactor these are the steps you will take:

1. Take a supplied sponge and put it in the inner chamber and place at the bottom of the tube
2. Take the manufacture recommended amount of carbon and pour it into the tube
3. Take another sponge and "sandwich" it on top of the carbon

NOTE: If you run a finer carbon please use the additional sponges provided and place a second sponge on the top and bottom.

4. Rinse your carbon with water until it runs clear

NOTE: The use of Reverse Osmosis water is preferred

5. Lastly place the cap on the inner chamber and insert into the outer chamber

Granular Ferric Oxide (G.F.O.)

If you are planning on running GFO in your reactor the steps are the almost same as carbon. In this case you will not "sandwich" the GFO.

1. Take the manufacture recommended amount of carbon and pour it into the tube
2. Take the supplied sponge and place it just underneath the cap
3. Rinse your GFO with water until it runs clear

NOTE: The use of Reverse Osmosis water is preferred

Bio Pellets

When running Bio Pellets in your reactor you will not need the supplied sponges

1. Take the manufacture recommended amount of bio pellet and pour it into the tube
2. Rinse your bio pellets with water
3. Place the cap on the inner chamber and insert into the outer chamber

NOTE: The use of Reverse Osmosis water is preferred

Dial in the Flow!

To dial in the flow these are step you need to take:

1. Check the water level on the back of your tank
2. After inserting your reactor into the back of your aquarium, make a mark on your reactor's body where you water level is set
3. Place the reactor into the front of your aquarium
4. Adjust reactor's height to your mark that you have made, this will ensure that your media tumbles the same rate in front of your tank as well as the back.

NOTE: Make sure your reactor is in the "closed" position so your media does not escape your reactor and enter into your system

5. Turn on the reactor and slowly use turn the adjustment cap clockwise to achieve the desired amount of flow.
6. Turn off your reactor then place it back into the rear of your aquarium readjust the height of the reactor to the water level mark and turn reactor back on.
