Описание: What is the mystery behind Lord Shiva having three eyes? According to the Puranas, one day Lord Shiva was holding a meeting with the gods on the Himalayas. At that moment, Goddess Parvati arrived in the assembly. Just for fun, she covered both of Lord Shiva’s eyes with her hands. But the moment she did that, darkness spread across the entire creation — even the sunlight turned into darkness. All living beings on earth began to panic. Seeing this situation, Lord Shiva became restless and immediately manifested a divine light on his forehead. This very light later appeared as Lord Shiva’s third eye. When Goddess Parvati asked Lord Shiva why he opened the third eye, he replied — if he had not done so, the entire creation would have been destroyed, because his eyes are the sustainers of the universe.
