The protestors demanded the release of Leo Stanley, Muthappan, Pushparaj, and Shanki, four other suspects who were in custody as well as one accused in a case that was filed on Saturday, according to police, who added that up to 40 police officers and numerous locals were hurt in the ensuing violence.
