A stunning RTI revelation has exposed large-scale misuse of public money during the previous YSRCP regime. According to the RTI data, former Andhra Pradesh CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy spent a massive ₹222 Crores on helicopter travel and personal ‘jaunts’, including extremely short trips such as Tadepalli to Guntur.
In contrast, the current government clarified that CM Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh personally fund their air travel, ensuring zero burden on the public exchequer.
The RTI also uncovers that even during COVID, Jagan diverted government funds for personal travel — including a London detour to meet his daughters under the pretext of attending Davos.
