Porsche 911 GT1 Race Car in 10 different racing games (Forza, Grid, Project Cars and more)

Описание: The 24 Hours of Le Mans 1998 had one of the most epic car lineups in history and the car that managed to win the race was the Porsche 911 GT1 race car. Here you can see the car in action in 10 different racing games, showing off a fast lap on a different real life race track in each game. Enjoy the show!

Earlier versions of the 911 GT1 race car already competed at Le Mans in 1996 and 1997 but both times they were beaten by a privately entered open prototype, which was originally built by Porsche but then abandoned by the Porsche works team because they didn't see enough potential in it...

In 1998 an updated version of the GT1 finally managed to shine though. It was not the fastest car in the field but the faster Toyota, Mercedes and BMW cars all had technical issues or accidents, while both 911 GT1 managed to finish the race without major problems, taking 1st and 2nd place, ahead of the equally reliable but slower Nissan cars.

Because the car competed in the GT1 class Porsche also had to build a street-legal road version of the car.

The 911 GT1 also competed in the FIA GT Championship in 1997 and 1998 but that series was dominated by Mercedes in those years, with the Porsche not winning a single race.

The car is also known for a spectacular backflip that happened at Road Atlanta, similar to what happened to the Mercedes CLR at Le Mans in 1999.    • Porsche GT1 Yannick Dalmas Road Atlanta Crash  

Forza Motorsport features the car in 5 different games but in FM4 and FM6 it is unfortunately part of the Porsche expansion, which can not be newly obtained anymore.

The race car can also be driven in Grid Legends, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2 and some Project Cars games.

The road version of the car can be found in a variety of games, including Gran Turismo 7 and some Forza Horizon and The Crew games, although it is usually not the 1998 version.

Need for Speed Porsche features the race car in the PS1 version of the game but the PC version only features the road version.

This video features the 1998 race car in action in 10 different games that I selected. As usual I am showing exactly the games that I intend to show and no games were missed or forgotten. Make sure that you understand this before you post any comments under the video.
