Plays a key role in distributing weight
Create a longitudinal arch
Talus
Superior of all Tarsal Bones
Articulates with Tibia and Fibula
Allows for Dorsey function and Plantar function of the foot
Movements happen at the Sub-Talor joint
Meets up with Navicular anteriorly
Meets up with Calcaneus inferiorly
Navicular
Canoe or boat-shaped appearance
Anteriorly meets up with Intermediate, Medial, and Lateral Cuneiforms
Intermediate Cuneiform
Meets up with the first metatarsal
Medial Cuneiform
Meets up with 2nd metatarsal
Lateral Cuneiform
Meets up with 3rd metatarsal
Cuboid
Meets up with 4th, 5th metatarsal
Articulates with calcaneus
Calcaneus
Articulates with Talus
Receives weight from the Talus
