How long does it actually take to learn Finnish? Is it really one of the hardest languages in the world? And how many hours does it take to reach levels like A1, B1 or even C1?

In this video I explain the real timeline for learning Finnish, based on the CEFR language levels (A1–C2) and the estimated number of guided learning hours typically required to move from one level to another.

Many people say Finnish is extremely difficult, but the truth is more nuanced. With the right learning methods and consistent practice, reaching conversational Finnish is much more achievable than many learners think. It requires consistency and hours and hours of work but IT IS achievable.
