Описание: Does the Bible actually prohibit the title “Father” which is given to priests? Since the very early Church, priests have gone by that title as a sign of respect, and because they act as spiritual leaders in the lives of their congregation. A priest is in charge of the spiritual health of his flock. Just as a earthly father would do for his children, a priest’s job is to nourish, instruct, challenge, correct, pastor, and sustain his people. But let’s explore the meaning behind the passage and what Jesus meant exactly when he said, “Call no man on earth your father.”
