What Para-Sport Really Looks Like (and What It’s Taught Me About Life & Business)

In this episode, I’m taking you with me to a Para Taekwondo prep camp with GB, after realising how many people still don’t actually know what para-sport is or what it really looks like behind the scenes.
But this week wasn’t just about training. It was about juggling roles, switching mindsets, and learning (again) that performance isn’t always about pushing through pain.
I’m balancing being a mum, a founder, and a para-athlete. I talk honestly about mum guilt, having a village to support me while I train, and the mental shift it takes to move between those identities in the same day.
I also share the process of finding out that I cant train due to injury. Shin splints meant I wasn’t allowed to train fully with the team, which pushed me into replacement cardio and strength sessions and into listening to my body and my coaches. Something that goes directly against the “push through at all costs” narrative we’re so often taught.
Alongside this, I spent time with Goldie Sayers at a workshop on property and finances, which unexpectedly shifted how I think about money, long-term security, and how all of this feeds into being a better founder and leader.
Since filming, I’ve also received the images from the photographer I met during the camp, and I’ve linked them below for anyone who wants to see more of that side of the experience.

Everything connects. Sport, business, motherhood, disability, ambition. None of it exists in isolation.
This vlog is for anyone curious about para-sport, chasing big goals alongside real life, or learning when to push and when to pause.
Thanks for being here 🤍
