Today on Summer's 7th Birthday we started a property search. Don has been very busy painting and finishing the basement of the house. The good weather gave an opportunity to search along the creek in a section that is directly connected to Ben Hill Road where the "dog trails" arrive from the upper property. This time of year it is much easier to re'look the area. From the creek beds up half the distance to the house was carefully searched - logs being moved, leaf piles opened, any refuse sorted and piled for future discarding. The closest clothing article found was a shoe which belonged to one of the boys. Due to occasional flooding of the creek which occurs, the creek banks down into the creek itself were checked in this area for any clue that might have appeared that could associate itself to Summer Wells. The house can be seen. Unfortunately, someone, we assume, went up one of the dog trails and stole the banner which meant so much to the Family. It was hanging between two trees near the house and can be seen in the supplied photograph from a WJHL newscast. If anyone has this banner, please return it. This is the banner seen in the news during the FunFest parade in Kingsport, July 2021, carried by Candus and a friend.
Neither Don nor Candus wanted to celebrate Summer's 7th Birthday with her not being there to enjoy. This felt like the honor we could give her. There is also a full moon which is very fitting for Summer Moon-Utah Wells.
