The dawn of Tuesday/February 22nd/2005 brought heartbreaking news that Blink-182, a band that had held strong for over 10 years, had fallen apart along with Tom DeLonge's relationships with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. This was a very difficult reality to face for Blink-182's millions of fans worldwide, and an even harder blow to the band members themselves. The decay of Blink-182 left Mark and Travis angry, whereas Tom was left to fend for himself while struggling to keep his head just above the waterline of depression and drug addiction.
"The Best Years Of Our Lives" is a final acknowledgment to the now hollow shell of the world's most loved punk rock band. Goodbye, Blink-182.
