We’re leaving the city lights of Abu Dhabi behind and heading 130km deep into the desert. Our destination? Al Qaa, one of the darkest spots in the country and a sanctuary for stargazers.
The winter rains have transformed the dunes, bringing life to the desert vegetation. Watch as we make a "majestic entrance" through the iconic Magic Gate—a moment made for the Land Cruiser. I’ll show you some cinematic 360° views of the trek that you won't want to miss.
The Camp & The Stars After scouting the perfect ridge, I spent the evening gathering wood and prepping the campsite. On the menu tonight: Desert-cooked Jackfruit. The morning brought a twist—a blanket of fog so thick it took two hours to clear. Just as I was packing up, I spotted a nearby family stranded in the soft sand. While they were a bit shaken, the Land Cruiser made the rescue look like a piece of cake. There’s no better feeling than helping a fellow camper get back on the trail safely.
