When you press the shutter button and your autofocus snaps in, does the image you're seeing look out of focus? Your camera's viewfinder has an adjustable dioptre so you can make it match your eyesight. So if what you're seeing through the viewfinder looks out of focus the diopter probably needs setting up.
When setting the diopter do it with your glasses off. When you're looking through a camera's viewfinder your're seeing something equivalent to about 1.5 metres away regardless of if you're shooting macro or something on the horizon. I don't know why or the clever physics of this - it's just the way it is. So all you're doing is adjusting magnification of the viewfinder for 1.5 metres, for your personal prescription.
If you're both long and short sighted I'm sorry but you'll still need your glasses to read the camera settings, menus etc - but at least you won't have them in the way when you're composing a photo.
Once you've set up your camera's diopter it makes life a whole lot easier because you won't need to wear your glasses when looking through the viewfinder, and it's really simple and quick to do. All you need is a road sign, a tripod and your camera.
