Darkness is not just about the night. 🌑
It’s about the moment when something inside you quietly falls apart. When you lose direction, certainty, or a part of who you thought you were.
This piece was not written as a story about a city. The city is only a reflection of the mind when it goes through something heavy, something difficult to name.
“Darkness” is not about hopelessness. It’s about choosing to walk through that darkness instead of running from it. About going deeper into yourself to understand what still remains and what must be left behind.
It is a story about a fall that slowly turns into transformation. About fear losing its power. About discovering that even in the deepest night, light can begin to form from within. ✨
Some people may see a city in it. Others may see themselves. And that is exactly what “Darkness” is about.
Lyrics — “Darkness”
Neon trembles on the shattered ground,
Voices in the alleys make a hollow sound.
A cold wind rises, cutting through my skin,
Every step pulls me deeper within.
City shadows swirl like living smoke,
Every whispered secret feels like a choke.
Eyes in the distance glow like burning coal,
I try to read the cracks inside my soul.
I walk through the ruins of forgotten dreams,
Nothing here is ever what it seems.
The night is hungry, waiting for my fall,
But I keep moving, I don’t hear its call.
Take me through the darkness, let the night ignite,
Pull me from the silence, draw me into the light.
Even as I’m sinking, I refuse to break,
From the ashes I rise with every breath I take.
Rain hits the pavement like a warning sign,
Every drop reminds me what I left behind.
Footsteps echo, but I’m not alone,
The city knows my name like it’s carved in stone.
Fear tries to bind me with its iron chain,
But I’ve gone too far to turn back again.
The night may follow everywhere I roam,
But I’ll carve my path and I will call it home.
