Pork tenderloin. It’s not only delicious, but it is way more budget-friendly for the family and still allows you to get a good amount of protein.
The sides are super cheap too! Mexican-style corn and mashed potatoes will surely make your family full… and they will consider you the new king of FLAVOURTOWN!
Here is the recipe:
Marinade:
2 tenderloins
Mustard as a binder
Salt, pepper, garlic seasoning
2 tbs Maple syrup…or so
Sauce:
Remaining juices from the marinade
3 tbs of butter
1/3 cup White or red wine for deglazing the pan
1/4 cup cream (Optional)
Corn:
Boil corn for 3-4 mins
Drain.
Add:
2 tbs butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Smoked paprika to taste
Tajin to taste
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup of any mayo
Squeeze of lime juice (optional)
Potatoes:
Peel, cut, boil them for 10 minutes or until soft.
Drain.
Add:
3-4 tbs butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup may (optional)
1/4 cup milk or so depending on your liking.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Sear the pork in a hot pan for 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer into oven (with the pan they are in) for approximately 20 minutes. Check them at the halfway point.
Take out of oven after they hit about 145F internally. Let rest on a cookie sheet or plate for 5-10 minutes.
Enjoy!!
