In the last video ( • Making a simple oscillator (Homebrew Oscil... ) I designed and built a simple oscillator circuit using an inverter and an RC filter.
In this video I'm adapting that circuit into a Voltage-Controlled Oscillator, or VCO. This oscillates with a variable frequency depending on the voltage applied to an input pin.
I'll also preview how this can be further used to build a Phase-Locked Loop, which I'll cover in more detail in the third video of the series.
