Hey guys!
So this was our much-needed escape to Alibaug with friends — and honestly, it turned out to be the perfect mix of fun and relaxation.
We started our journey with a scenic road trip from Mumbai. Good music, great company, and those highway vibes — the trip had already begun on a high note.
Our first stop? A super aesthetic café for brunch.
We tried some delicious baos and fresh seafood, and everything tasted amazing. The ambience was just beautiful — calm, cozy, and perfect for a slow morning. They even had stay options, but since we had already booked our resort, we just soaked in the vibe and left.
Then we headed to our stay — Tambarine Retreat.
And wow… this place was a hidden gem. Surrounded by greenery, completely nature-friendly and even animal-friendly — it instantly put us in vacation mode.
We had our own private swimming pool, which made it even more special. The food was fresh and organic, made from their own grown vegetables. They also had this cute little library where you could just sit, read, and relax. It felt peaceful and refreshing.
In the evening, we explored a nearby beach.
It was calm, almost silent, with very few people around. We spotted seagulls waiting for waves to bring in snails and tiny crabs. Watching those little crabs dig into the sand and disappear — it was such a simple but beautiful moment.
Later, we visited a really unique school-themed café.
It had sections like “principal’s office,” “punishment zone,” and “homework area” — super creative! We just had coffee there, but the whole concept was fun and nostalgic.
At night, we went for a peaceful walk on the beach.
Cool breeze, soft waves, and no crowd — just pure calmness.
Next morning, we visited Suju’s Art Cafe — a cozy artistic space.
We had a lovely brunch, followed by a relaxing spa session — because why not? 😌
And finally, it was time to head back — but this time via ferry from Mandwa Jetty to Mumbai.
The boarding was super smooth, very well managed, and reasonably priced. They even had a café inside — yes, Starbucks on the port too!
But the real highlight? The sunset. Watching the sun slowly dip into the sea from the ferry… it was the perfect ending to our trip.
And just like that, we were back in Mumbai — with memories, laughter, and a refreshed mind.
This Alibaug trip was short, simple, and exactly what we needed.
