What to Expect at Your LASIK Evaluation

Preparing for the Appointment
To ensure that we are able to obtain the most accurate measurements during your visit, we request that if you currently wear contact lenses, please stay out of them for a minimum of 3 to 5 days prior to your appointment.

Initial testing by technicians / Meeting with Doctor
You can expect to be on-site for approximately 45 minutes to one hour for your LASIK evaluation. During your visit, our technicians will perform diagnostic tests using our highly specialized equipment. These machines take measurements of your eyes so that your surgeon can review your eye health, and confirm your candidacy for the procedure. You will have the opportunity to meet with your surgeon, review your testing, discuss the procedure, and ask any questions that you may have. Your eyes will not be dilated during this visit, so you should not anticipate any visual restrictions after the evaluation.
