Here is some drum cam footage of Iron Maiden’s Gangland! Live from 9/16/22

This is one they have NEVER played live. My Maiden tribute Eyes of the Nile learned it for our complete Number of the Beast show earlier this year and we liked playing it live so much we kept it in for the next show!

Yet another song that starts with a drum intro (see The Prisoner in another video and obviously Run to the Hills the other). Notice how the bass drum is not completely straight but slightly swung. And then it’s typical relentless Clive from there. Mostly doubles on the kick for the whole song. Ouch! And he always leaves that last note on the ride before the hits instead of skipping it. Makes it a tad more brutal. I believe he was influenced by Cozy Powell and let it be shown with this groove and the triplet fills. The beginning also caused some disagreements on how to count it. I have my way…they have theirs! 😅 How would you count it?
