We Cycled 52km Around Sun Moon Lake (Biking Taiwan Day 5)

Описание: Taiwan's largest lake, Sun Moon Lake, is of course a must-visit on any trip to Taiwan. Stunningly blue, nestled in the mountains and surrounded by temples and small towns with delicious Taiwanese street food, this could be the perfect day trip!

To cycle around the entire lake should be just under 30km but because we first have to climb the mountain to wear the lake sits today became a little more of a challenge.

If you didn't know, Taiwan actually has a dedicated cycling route that circumferences the entire island, it's called Cycling Route 1, and this is what we will be following (with a couple of detours) over the next three weeks.

Cycling Route 1 can be done in just 9 days for those who are really looking for a challenge, but we want to explore all the stops along the way so we're adding extra days to ensure we not only get challenged but also get to travel Taiwan in the most unique way possible!
