Mararison Island is located off the western coast of Panay Island. It has a land area of approximately 0.55 square kilometers. The highest point on the island is Tuyong-Tuyong Hill, which stands at 83 meters (272 feet) above sea level. The island is about 2.45 kilometers from the coast of Culasi.
How to Get There
To get to Mararison Island, you can take a bus or van from Iloilo City or Kalibo/Caticlan to Culasi, Antique. From Culasi, you can hire a motorized pump boat to reach the island. The boat ride usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, but can take longer depending on weather conditions. As of 2025, boat rentals cost around PHP 750 for a round trip, accommodating up to 5 passengers. You'll also need to register at the tourism office and pay environmental and terminal fees.
