In this tutorial, we show how to control how low and how high a scissor lift mechanism can move in Fusion 360. Starting from an existing assembly, we extend the mechanism’s range of motion by editing slot dimensions and positions, adjusting motion limits for pin-slot and slider joints, and resolving interference between profiles.
We use Section Analysis to identify conflict points and refine the geometry so the mechanism can travel smoothly over a longer distance.
