So Android only users I have good news and bad news.

So that’s not good and we recommend that you click on this link

to check if you are affected. It will take you to the Google Play Store where you can download an App that can check your phone. It will also suggest a work -around until the Android update is available for your phone and tablet.
Now the Good News – The patch has been released and it resolves the problem
I can’t tell you when the update will be available for your phone, however if you are a Nexus user it is available now. I hope you find this useful and please make sure you share with other Android users if you can.

“The Stagefright exploit is serious stuff. You could find that someone has sent you a malicious MMS which in some cases doesn’t even need to be opened for you to lose control of your camera, microphones, and personal data. And because it is believed that Stagefright has a genesis from insecure code found in the Stagefright multimedia library in use since Froyo, as many as 95% of active Android devices could be vulnerable.”
