Koh Yo (เกาะยอ) Island - Welcome to the province of Songkhla in Southern Thailand, and what is the largest natural lake in Thailand - Lake Songkhla. It’s magically peaceful and chilled out place, and today we’re going on a day trip to Koh Yo (เกาะยอ) Island within the lake.

Though the island is small, it’s known for a number of things, including fruit, a certain pattern of textile, and traditional Southern Thai culture. Also, the island is connected by a series of bridges, so it’s easy to access from the mainland.

Khao Yam (ร้านข้าวยำป้าลิ่มเกาะยอ) - https://goo.gl/maps/zRj3fWyzVLoN4TRe8 - First place we stopped is a small family restaurant to eat Southern Thai rice herbal salad. It was great, so refreshing and a balance of sweet, salty, and spicy.

Lung Wee Garden (สวนลุงวี https://goo.gl/maps/c5oGbJ4HpqEUzdNj9) - I was just searching on the map and found Uncle Wee garden, and since we were right down the road, we decided to stop by. He happened to be there, and he’s extremely friendly. One of the main things he grows is a cross breed of cempedak and jackfruit.

Khatichon Wittaya Museum (Folklore Museum Southern Thailand https://goo.gl/maps/9pHCWN3n7RPSgxxf7) - Next up on this family island tour, we stopped at the main folklore museum, called Khatichon Wittaya Museum. Definitely worth a visit to learn more about the province of Songkhla and cultures of Southern Thailand.

Chill bar koh yor (https://goo.gl/maps/TaeL6B1V9uaFdnBJ8) - There were a few cafes that looked great on the island, but they were all closed, so luckily Chill Bar was open - and that’s exactly what it is, chill to the max. They make great fruit shakes!

And that completes our tour of Koh Yo (เกาะยอ) Island in Lake Songkhla, Thailand. Great place to visit, very chill and peaceful.
