the video ends with a little sighseeing tour over Moscow (music: Johann Strauß, the blue Danube). Moscow lies on the very border of the map. One cannot overfly it like Paris in the WW1 map of the IL-2 series. One of the buildings that can be seen from close distance is the north river terminal (1937), with a big star on the tower.

In february 1942, the german chaotic retreat from Moscow stabilized. The germans built a new frontier line at Rzhev, they held the city with a brutal regime until march 1943.
As so often in wars, the battle was lost, but the war was not over. It took three years and millions of lives more.
