Installing Microsoft Office with the customization and deployment tools - the NetAdmin way!

Описание: Downloading and installing Microsoft Office can get pretty repetitive during large deployments. And on every single computer, you have to download the same files from the Internet, over and over again. Isn't there a better way, something more like the old MSI install, where you could have the files stored locally?

Never fear, the NetAdmin is here! Today I'm going to show you how you can use the Office Deployment Tool and the Office Customization Tool to essentially pre-program your Office installations and save those installation files to the network for a centralized deployment. Now you can handle your network-wide deployments with less hassle!

EXTRA CREDIT:
Make sure you get the right version of Office downloaded! If your organization has some Business Premium licenses and some E3 licenses (for example), you need to make sure you have both the ProPlus and the Business versions downloaded (to different folders), and you need to make sure the right version gets deployed to the user with the right license to activate it!
If you're installing a volume licensed version of Office (2019 / 2021 / 2024), then you should probably try and use KMS licensing--MAK keys are simple, but they have a limited number of activations available. Some restrictions do apply to KMS, though, so as always you'll need to use the right solution for your individual situation!
