103022 MAGNOLIA KIDNAPPER MANHUNT

Описание: After a pursuit from Harris County to Hall Drive in Montgomery County, two males labeled as kidnap suspects fled into the woods on foot. A DPS AIr Unit immediately launched from Hooks Airport to assist in the search and within minutes of arriving on the scene spotted both males who appeared Hispanic making their way through the heavily wooded area toward Jackson Road. One male had a backpack the other a what appeared to be a long gun. A perimeter was set up between High Meadows Ranch, Jackson Road, and the Magnolia Fire Station on FM 149. Due to the thickness of the wood and the male with possibly a long gun the perimeter was held as the DPS Air unit tracked their movements until they split up.  Near midnight one of the suspects started going through a backyard on Hardy Oak and High Meadow Estates Drive. He then moved into a tree line near the road. As he then came out with his hands raised and was quickly taken into custody by Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies.  Harris County SWAT linked up with Montgomery County SWAT at the Magnolia Fire Station which was used as the command post. A Harris County Helicopter Able 1 joined in the search along with a drone brought in from Harris County. As of 2 am, the search for the one male continued with SWAT units checking residential backyards along with any targets spotted by the aircraft overhead. Jackson Road remains closed. Residents in the area are asked to remain in their homes and make sure keys are not left in vehicle ignitions. For any suspicious activity calls 911. At about 2:30amSWAT terminated the search. Patrol units will remain in the area.
