Описание: Trudy Desmond was a New York born singer and actress who called Toronto home for much of her professional life. She was one of the original members of Dr. Music. However, her finest repertoire and interpretation as a vocalist was with jazz standards. This session, from December 1988 and recorded at CBC Studio 4S, teamed her with Don Thompson (O.C.) on piano, Bob Brough of Time Warp on tenor saxophone, Neil Swainson on bass and Barry Elmes on drums. Trudy went on to record two albums for Justin Time Records, before passing away in 1999. Trudy, and the entire quintet here, were a delight to work with. The recording, shows it.
