During that visit, Jr had a chance to work briefly with a stunning Clydesdale mare named Breezy. Even in that short time, a bond was formed—and now, her journey with us truly begins.

Recently, Breezy’s owners reached out with a big decision: they wanted her to receive professional training and believed there was no better place than Homestead Horsemanship—where trust, patience, and partnership are at the heart of everything we do.

The challenge? While Breezy has been well-loved and regularly groomed, she hasn’t had much hands-on training—and she’s never learned how to load into a trailer.

So Jr and Isaac hit the road once again, making the long drive back to Colorado to bring her home. This video captures the full process: from the moment they arrive, Jr takes a calm, thoughtful approach—assessing Breezy’s mindset, starting groundwork, and gently introducing her to the trailer. No pressure, no shortcuts—just consistent, compassionate communication.

By the end of the day, Breezy is confidently walking in and out of the trailer—a quiet, powerful moment that marks the beginning of her new chapter with us.

Breezy will be staying at our homestead for the entire summer, and we couldn’t be more excited to share her journey with you. From groundwork to riding readiness to pulling a cart, we’ll be documenting every step. And who knows? We might even have a few surprises along the way!
