The title track of Tim Weisberg's 1972 instrumental album. It is credited on the album to Jim Gordon (Amy Music), the drummer with Derek & The Dominos.
Hurtwood Edge is an Italian style villa situated in Ewhurst, Surrey, England that has been the main home of Eric Clapton since 1969.
The track is AKA '(Old) Devil Road' that featured as part of Derek & The Dominos' aborted 2nd Album Sessions. However only Gordon and Clapton from the band contributed to the session, which included vocals by Jim Gordon's then girlfriend, and later wife Renee Armand.
Here's what Renee Armand @reneearmand5067 had to say about the track on another YT post.....
"Just want to make clear what this is: Jim and I were in England to pick up his royalties and his car. We visited Eric (who I had never met) - and who was not doing all that well. Jim and Eric spent most of the time together. I/we wrote this song when I joined them in Eric's studio (at 'Hurtwood Edge'). I wrote the words and sang the melody, and that's me singing on the cut. I have no idea how anyone got a tape of it."
