V.O.G TOPIC: NO MATTER HOW FAST A DRIVER IS ON THE WRONG LANE, HE WILL NEVER GET TO HIS DESTINATION.
TEXT: PSALM 11:3
What are some effective ways to determine if you are on the right path in life? How can someone shift direction if they realize they're on the wrong road? What role do personal values play in finding true fulfillment and success?
Have you ever seen someone moving fast in life, achieving so much, yet somehow never reaching true success or fulfillment? That’s because speed without direction doesn’t take you anywhere.
Life is like a journey. No matter how fast a driver is, if he’s on the wrong road, he will never reach his destination. The same applies to your life. Many chase wealth, fame, or pleasure, working tirelessly—but if they are on the wrong path, all that effort leads nowhere.
Life is often compared to a journey, and in every journey, the destination matters more than the speed. Imagine a driver who sets out with a powerful car, full of energy, confidence, and determination. He presses the accelerator, overtakes others, and feels proud of his speed—but unfortunately, he is on the wrong route. No matter how fast he drives, he will never arrive at his intended destination. Instead, his speed only takes him further away from where he ought to be.
This picture represents the importance of direction over speed in life. Many people today are obsessed with moving fast—achieving success quickly, making money in record time, or rushing into opportunities. But the critical question is: Are you on the right path? Speed without direction is wasted effort. Just as a wrong road can never lead to the right place, the wrong choices, wrong values, or wrong purpose will never lead to true success, no matter the effort put in.
A student may study hard, but if he studies the wrong material, failure is inevitable. A businessman may work tirelessly, but if he builds on dishonesty, his empire will crumble. A young person may pursue fame, wealth, or pleasure, but if he abandons the right values and purpose, he will eventually lose himself. Direction is the compass that gives meaning to speed.
This truth also reminds us of the importance of guidance. Maps, road signs, and directions help a driver avoid costly mistakes. In life, wise counsel, godly principles, and clear goals serve as our maps. Without them, speed becomes a trap.
In conclusion, speed is valuable, but direction is indispensable. It is better to move slowly on the right path than to rush blindly on the wrong one. Only the right route—guided by wisdom, purpose, and truth—leads to the right destination.
