This is the wild story of rescuing my 1983 Toyota Pickup—and swapping in a 3RZ engine from a 2000 Toyota Tacoma—right in an AutoZone parking lot. No shop. Just tools, determination, and the insane Toyota community.

We drove 1,200+ miles across the country to bring my first truck back to life. Along the way, we changed the transmission, transfer case, brake lines, fuel system, and custom-wired the entire truck using a harness from Offroad Solutions.
