Eastbound Overland - the Trailer - Adventuring Across Newfoundland & Labrador With My Family:

Newfoundland & Labrador are awesome! In this video, I share a first look at my family's month-long adventure traveling overland and camping out of an off-road teardrop trailer that we hauled with a 4x4 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 made to tackle series off-road terrain. We'd head east from our home in Northern Ontario and then travel up the notorious Québec Highway 389 before driving east again to complete the Trans-Labrador Highway in its entirety. At the end of the road, we'd jump over to the island of Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula amidst tempestuous seas on the Quajaq W ferry to reach St. Barbe. From there, we'd head south on Newfoundland's Viking Route through beautiful scenery to reach Portland Creek Outfitters. From Portland Creek, Newfoundland the whole family flew out into the remote mountains on a floatplane. The floatplane deposited us at a wild and far-flung lake where we stayed in an off-grid cabin while I hunted moose in the surrounding country. After that part of the adventure was over, we headed south to explore Grose Morne National Park where we completed many amazing treks carrying the kids. These treks included climbing Gros Morne Mountain, the Green Gardens Trail, Coastal Trail, and more. Finally, after nearly a month, we headed back to the mainland of Nova Scotia, driving the Cabot Trail and visiting the Bay of Fundy's Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick on our way home.
