In this video, Redbird Speed covers how to use this tool on a 9 inch housing. Make sure to use your words! These are not axle measurements! These are not "flange to flange" dimensions. These dimensions are from the center of the pinion to the outside of the housing ends. We explain in the video that several applications like spools splined to the outside edge and various posi units may not have the traditional axle spline location.

E = Total housing width
F = Center of pinion to driver side housing end
G = Center of pinion to passenger side housing end
F + G = E

One more tip not included in the video... The F dimension is ALMOST ALWAYS going to be longer than the G dimension. It is very rare that a driveshaft would be located closer to the driver side than the passenger side. Make sure you don't flip these around or one axle will be too long an the other too short.
