Released by Toaplan and distributed by Atari in the U.S. and Europe, we have a cracking little beat em up for you today.
Originally intended to be in the Street Fighter mould, Toaplan eventually settled on the beat em up format, although the one on one boss fights are similar in style to that of a fighter with far less moves.
The short left to right city based levels are broken up occasionally by a button bashing mini game, but all in all everything is pretty straightforward. There are also hints that you can beat up the cars as well 'a la' Final Fight, but I've never got further than denting the bonnet a bit.
The theme appears to be wrestling based; with a good group of wrestlers out to stop a bad group who have taken over the city. This explains the campness throughout and it even goes as far as to give one of the bosses lipstick and ballet pumps!
Highly recommended for fans of brawlers the game is a little too short, but would've been perfect fun for a quick bash in the local amusements arcade.
This plays and looks great in MAME so give it a go!
