Blades of Avernum / 011 / Restless Souls

Описание: Continuing with our journey, our travels take us to the remote lands of Charon to aid in a mysterious quest put forth by the mayor of Amadis, only for said journey to be plagued with a myriad of obstacles and twists in today's scenario, "Restless Souls".

I ended up rating this scenario as a "mixed bag" at the end, and I suppose I should explain my reasoning. Low-level parties will struggle due to the constant quartets (or more) of homologous imp spellcasters in its fights. High-level parties will hesitate to play the scenario due to it giving sizable amounts of flat experience drops; leveling too quickly will end up trivializing some scenarios if the player wishes to play a ton of them with one party, like I am. The scenario is pretty and has some actually decently paced cutscenes... but those cutscenes are mainly front-loaded, and the pretty wilderness can be a pain to travel and backtrack through. The creator thought to have a shortcut to end the scenario, when it could've led back to Amadis (which is close to the border of the scenario anyways) to let the player wrap up sidequests before leaving. Etcetera, etcetera. I didn't dislike it, though, far from it! All it needed was a little more polish.
