As we emerge from a global pandemic, the system we live in seems ever more unfit to govern the lives of ordinary people, from the new policing law to the Immigration bill and the completely avoidable cost of living crisis, we must ask the question, where do we go from here?
Tony Benn was one of the twentieth century's most charismatic politicians. Our book of the month for May 2022, The Best of Benn showcases his powers of original thinking and communication over seven decades.
From 'the baby of the house' to a retired widower, he was a consistently radical campaigning voice on issues such as the death penalty, opposition to war and support of workers' rights.
An online rally asking the crucial question, ‘Where do we go from here?’ is best placed to commemorate Tony Benn and his contributions to the struggle for a freer and fairer system.
Join Jeremy Corbyn, IWGB, Medact & international solidarity activists on Thursday 16th June at 7PM BST.
