A Gothic fortress built by the Marquis of Villena in 1461 on older Muslim foundations, dominates the town from a strategic hill, offering stunning views and housing historical displays about its long past, from Bronze Age settlements through Iberian, Roman, and Moorish periods, serving as a key cultural landmark and popular visitor attraction in Murcia.
