From early beginnings to modern days, the map has been the face of every strategy game, none more so than the Paradox titles. Whether we're talking political or terrain map modes, map modes in general, the depth of realistic visuals or reliance on stylistic choices to make up for graphical fidelity, there is so much to love here. In this video, I rank the campaign maps of every historical Paradox grand strategy game I've played, from Victoria 2 and Crusader Kings 1 back in the day, to HOI4, CK3, EU4, Imperator and Victoria 3.
