Babicz Bass Bridge Is Junk! I Changed My Mind - 3-Min. Teardown...!

Sorry to say, this really great design has been hurt by cheap manufacturing. It may last you a while; it may be great for you; but it's not a high quality piece of hardware.

I hate to say it, but once you pull one of these apart, it's not such a pretty picture. First off they are light, and I get wanting a lightweight bridge, but they are TOO light to the point of feeling flimsy. Then you look at the chrome plating and it's very disappointing. It's not gonna even last as long as a cheap stock Fender bridge.

So what's the deal? Babicz seems to have developed a very innovative bridge but when it came time to make a quality product they went the cheap route. I can't imagine their cost being more than $25 for the parts on this. That might be ok, if they weren't charging an arm and a leg for their bridges, but you're looking at spending almost $200 for one of these! Let me know your experience in the comments. cheers
